Buffalo Grove Realtor rediscovered an old Buffalo Grove favorite candy store….Uniquely Sweet
As many of you Buffalo Grove locals may remember, there was a candy store in the Woodland Commons Shopping Center for many years called Uniquely Sweet. It was the perfect place to buy a delicious treat for teachers, co-workers, coaches and friends. It was close by, it was reasonably priced and it was delicious. Read on… for where you can find some of its delicious merchandise.
You know those moments when you’re invited to someone’s house for a last minute dinner or you want to drop off a pick me up for a friend that’s feeling blue? Many times these situations creep up and you’d like to bring them a little something but have nothing on hand. I feel like this happens to me a lot. Especially because as a local realtor, I love to stop in on my many satisfied homeowners with a little something that I can get both quickly and inexpensively or give a Realtor closing basket with many unique gifts.
Unfortunately, one of my favorite stores, Uniquely Sweet made a decision to move to the community of Grayslake as their huge warehouse and bakery/café was already there and it just made sense to move this store there as well.
For many, it was a big loss to our close-knit community. Store manager Erin Miller was always there for us when we bought graduation gifts, items for our kids recitals and treats for the baseball team. She knew when people passed away and made sure she made each candy or nut tray ordered a little different so there wasn’t too much of the same thing.
Recently, a sweet morsel of good news came my way. The UPS store also in the Woodland Commons stocks a handful of Uniquely Sweet’s favorites. Who knew? I was mailing a gift to my son at college and discovered a case full of Uniquely Sweet gift boxes. And better yet, not only are the basics are there, Erin brings manager Al Crow seasonal goodies so you can always have the perfect treats in your perfect home. (Shameless plug, if you feel your home isn’t perfect, call me at 847-602-5435.)
Erin said you could also call Uniquely Sweet and order any type of tray or basket and she’ll deliver it to the UPS store within a few days. It’s an amazing gig the two of them have going on and it’s wonderful watching two small business owners help one another. They regularly stock gifts in boxes that look like houses, for all my realtor friends, its the perfect gift to give your clients.
As a realtor, I try to offer you as many helpful tips, both large and small as I can.
