As the Seasons Change, Buffalo Grove Youth Soccer Hits Its Stride – witten by Tara Arnold of the Judy Greenberg Group
Ah, the changing of the leaves and the crispness in the air. Most people equate these sensations with football or Halloween, but I can’t help but think of soccer. This will be the second season that my daughter has played Buffalo Grove Youth Soccer with the Buffalo Grove Park District and every season is better than the last. With Fall now in full force the games become even more of a delight. Every Saturday morning I have the pleasure of watching the area kids have a great time and get fantastic exercise at the same time. And I get the joy of huddling up in my Snuggie, sipping on my hot Starbucks and proudly proclaiming “Yes, that’s my daughter”.
The Buffalo Grove Park District has soccer programs available for both boys and girls in kindergarten though 8th grade. For more information on the Buffalo Grove Park District’s youth soccer program or to sign your kids up for the spring season, visit their website at www.bgparkdistrict.org. For the older kids, I would suggest checking out the local travel soccer teams. Click here to find out more about the Grove United Soccer Association for Buffalo Grove and here for the American Youth Soccer Organization for Long Grove, Vernon Hills and Lincolnshire. In the meantime, drop by the Willow Stream Game Field at Willow Stream Park to enjoy the games. Watching 6-year-olds play youth soccer may not have the fanfare of the World Cup, but I guarantee that you will have just as good a time.
Being able to have your kids participate in a robust park district program is just one reason why Buffalo Grove, IL is a wonderful town to raise a family. For more information on Buffalo Grove homes for sale or Buffalo Grove events, please contact me at 1-847-602-5435.
