The Fourth of July is the day that keeps the lives of those who fought for our country’s independce forever in our hearts. Over time this day of remembrance has evolved into a weekend full of picnics, barbecues, and fireworks. The patriotism: the flag waving, red, white and blue clothing and celebrations continue to live on. I can not think of another day filled with more fun, pride and excitement. My friends, family and I have been looking forward to this year’s fireworks for weeks and have not hesitated to start making our Fourth of July plans. Below are some options that we have considered; perhaps we will see you there!
The Village of Buffalo Grove: Buffalo Grove fireworks will begin at 9:15on July 4th and can be viewed from Willow Stream Park, Buffalo Grove Golf Course, and Rotary Village Green. There will be a variety of bands whose performances begin at 7 pm; to listen tune into 88.1

The Village of Hawthorne Woods: On July 3rd at 6:30 PM Hawthorn Woods fireworks and music will be held at Community Park. Guests have the luxury of bringing their own picnic as well as choosing from the selection of food vendors.
The Village of Vernon Hills: Participate in a bike decorating contest that begins at 8 AM! Contestants should meet at the corner of Deerpath road and Atrium drive. At the same location, their Fourth of July parades starts at 9 AM; bike contestants can ride their bike in the parade if accompanied by an adult. Music entertainment plays from 6:30 to 9:30 PM and Vernon Hills fireworks follow.
